SPIRIT OF... WHAT?!

You saw what it said, right?! Spirit Of Stone is a light novel made by Mason Cartwright (which is a pen name, by the way), following the story of Okoto Arakawa and his journey through this crazy planet that we call Earth (and maybe some other places, too *wink*).

Like any 'ordinary' protagonist, Okoto isn't the most popular guy in his school, Ayosei High School, but for entirely different reasons than 'being a nerd', or 'being the easy target'. In fact, calling him an easy target would be a bit off, to be exact! Nearly every student in his school is basically repelled from him, the reason being because of his tall stature, menacing face, and big... uh, heart?...

However, as if the stars aligned, Okoto's childhood friend, Naomi Yamauchi (uh oh, here comes the cliché plot...) just so happened to go to the same school as him, in an attempt to stay connected to each other after all of the memories that they made together. Unfortunately, because of her... uh, shall we say, 'nice' looks, she got the attention of nearly everyone there on the first day! And, because of Okoto's polar opposite looks, things basically went completely the other way when he joined a year later.

WAIT, THAT'S ALL?...

Pfff, heck no! I wouldn't make a damn website for some cliché plot like that! You see, one day in school, Okoto FINALLY mustered up the courage to ask Naomi about how she keeps in shape, basically feeling like she's a complete stranger to him after so much time. And, let's just say that Naomi was VERY happy to hear that, and dragged him back to her personal gym. W-wait, what?

Yep, Naomi made her own gym to train, and now she wants Okoto to do the same with her! Okoto, now knowing that there's probably no way out of trying to shape up now, reluctantly agrees. But, in all honesty... He just wanted to do it so he'd finally have some company after everyone was repelled from him (big surprise, I know.).

Soon after, though... at his school, a new classmate was introduced to his class on an ordinary Monday morning, a girl called Miku Masumi.

This was the day... when Okoto's whole life was about to be turned upside down...

ANYTHING ELSE?...

Oh, man... Yeah, there's a LOT more to talk about, but a website can only hold so much text, y'know?! Let's just say that... Okoto's world is about to get a whole lot more... magical. I mean, you could probably go to the 'Plot' page of this crazy place and just spoil yourself, right? I won't stop ya, but I will say this:

A lot of people are special in this world, whether that be because of their personalities, abilities, emotions, anything... Those people don't just go unrecognized in this world. Your entire being can be a power, sometimes... And Okoto proves it. Despite being pushed down nearly every day... Not being able to talk to anyone, his parents having to work a lot, and just ultimately feeling alone in this insane world... He still gets up, and keeps moving (reluctantly, though...).

There must be a reason for it, right?... Yeah, there is. Okoto's got an amazing amount of willpower to keep moving... His spirit must be indomitable, right?...

Yeah, a 'spirit of stone'. (See what I did there?!)

IS IT LIKE A LIGHT NOVEL?...

Actually, yeah. This literal nightmare of a book that I somehow created is basically the exact same as a light novel; Literally words upon words... and more words... Ugh...

BUT, to keep in the theme of a usual light novel, I've also added illustrations of scenes in the novel to give a sort of... 'view' of what I see when I read it, y'know? Or, more like more work for me to do, heh...

Anyway, the novels contain over 20 illustrations made by yours truly, depicting each scene of the novel to give it more life and charm, rather than just a bunch of words. They also keep in the theme of a manga to give it a more 'anime' style.

So, did I manage to convince ya'? I mean, if you like what you see, you can check it out with a click of a button (Ugh, I sound like a salesman right now...).

This all may sound so scripted to people, but at the end of the day, though, I'm very passionate about what I've somehow made. I mean, I made a damn website for it, so I think that proves it! But even if you're not very sure about it, that's fine. The fact that you somehow bared through all of this text until down to here is enough for me (Unless you skipped through the whole page, right?).
